Parallel House
UNEVEN PARALLEL VOLUMES

This house is located on a gentle slope of the east side in the suburbs. In addition to the basic house requirements, it responds to the maximization of south solar radiation and east view. First, the basic volume of the house was divided into a bedroom space and a living/kitchen space, and the building volume was composed of two accordingly. In the southeast corner of the front volume, it is composed of a single linear space centered on the living room, expanding the depth and scale of the space. In addition, the spatial inflow in the direction of the slope of the site was proposed by composing the rear volume into a master bedroom and a guest bedroom and providing a deck space between them. Through this, the spatial characteristics of the house were defined through the cross-shaped intersection of the linear space in the north-south direction and the external space in the east-west direction.
