THE REBORN-LIGHT
-Architectural Surface as Program Border-

Collaboration with JKang Architects
This design is for a battery recycling center and consists of two factory buildings and an office building. Based on the programmatic zoning of the factory and office buildings as the main focus of the design, a systematic layout that prioritizes efficient public and industrial circulation was established. First, one continuous architectural surface was set to serve as a border dividing the industrial area and public programs including office area. In addition, areas and rooms were organized based on efficiency according to function. Architecturally, in the lower part, the surface that serves as the border of the program is composed of red bricks and the rest is made of gray material, and three iconic urban objets are set in the upper part with u-glass.
